The available columns, headers, and data descriptions are listed below.

A | Word | A word from the Corpus |
B | Word Measure | An estimate of the challenge a particular word will present, on average, to a particular reader during independent reading. |
C, D, E, F, G, H | Grade Frequency | The total number of occurrences of the word in texts for each grade or grade range: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6-8, 9-12 |
I, J, K, L | Grade 1-12 Frequency | The total number of occurrences of the word in a domain (science, math, social studies, and reading/ELA) specific texts for all grades, 1-12. |
M | Grade 1-12 Overall Frequency | The total number of occurrences of the word in all domains’ texts across grades 1-12. |
N, O, P, Q | Domain Bias | Measure from -1 to 1, indicating whether the word appears relatively more or less in each domain (science, math, social studies, and reading/ELA) in the Corpus. A positive value indicates that the word appears more in a specific domain, whereas a negative value indicates the word appears more in a different domain. |
R | Dispersion Across Textbooks | The extent to which the word is spread across the textbooks. The measure is from 0 to 1. A value near 0 indicates the word occurs mostly in one textbook. A value near 1 indicates that the word is used across many textbooks within and across domains. |
S | Dispersion Across Domains | The extent to which the word is spread across the domains of math, reading/ELA, science, and social studies. The measure is from 0 to 1. A value near 0 indicates the word occurs mainly in one domain. A value near 1 indicates that the word is used relatively evenly across all domains. |
T, U, V, W | Academic Words | Whether or not the word is an academic word. The options are Yes and No. Yes indicates the word is an academic word. No indicates the word is not an academic word. Domains include: science, math, social studies, and general academic. |
X | Grade Assignment | The grade in which the word appeared at the highest frequency. |
Y, Z, AA, AB | Likelihood of Being a Domain Specific Word | The likelihood of being a domain-specific word based on statistics and expert judgment. (1= High Likelihood; 0= Low Likelihood) Domains include: science, math, social studies, and general academic. |
